Editorial Strategy for Audience Growth
Fifteen years in lifestyle, wellness, and mental health tech. Building editorial teams, content verticals, audiences from zero.
About
I'm a content strategist and editorial leader. I've spent fifteen years at lifestyle and wellness companies figuring out how to sound less like a brand and more like the kind of person you'd actually take advice from.
The brands that grow are the ones that make readers feel understood. At Apartment Therapy, the lifestyle verticals I helped launch grew to 42 million annual visitors. At Headway, I built the content presence from a blank page and shipped a Mental Health Resource Center that hit 7,000 monthly visitors in its first three months, entirely on organic search.
Most of my jobs have been some kind of "first." First content hire. First editorial team. First publication. That's the part I love: the recruiting, the rep-building, the early arguments about what "voice" actually means. I've run teams of up to 16, managed a $120k editorial budget, and reported organic growth numbers directly to executive teams and boards.

I'm most interested in roles where editorial isn't an afterthought — companies that want to invest in content as a real function, not just commission a blog. Especially fun if the page is still mostly blank.
Open to full-time content and copy leadership roles. Based in Atlanta. Remote or hybrid preferred — I've managed remote editorial teams for years and it's how I work best.
