Even More Awesome Calligraphy Fonts

Day to day in my life as a designer, I spend a lot of time contemplating typefaces. And every once in a while, I bring that side of my life to the blog.

This post I did a few years ago still gets a ton of love on Pinterest. After hunting down a handful of pretty hand-lettered fonts for a DIY project, I decided to share the fruits of my search labor and rounded up nine free calligraphy fonts for invitations, envelopes, escort cards and menus.

If you check the license on those free fonts, you’ll see they’re usually only free for personal use. That means if you use them to produce something that makes you money (like a monetized blog or a product you sell), you’re not quite in the clear when it comes to any legal implications.

So this time around, I decided to give you a few beautiful options that you can use commercially. So these fonts do come with a price tag (each one in this set is between $30 to $59), but you can’t put a price on peace of mind. Now, on with the pretty…

I also want to share two of my favorite calligraphers. Their beautiful illustrations are a staple in my media diet, and definitely worth a look if you’re interested in the art of lettering:
