Get Into these Gateway Podcast Episodes

We all know the trope of the "gateway drug." It's a crowd-pleasing, easy-to-get-into and oh-so-satisfying morsel of a thing that builds and builds into an addiction or obsession. Four months ago, I had never listened to a podcast. Now, I

Blogger Resources: Favicons Made Easy

Favicons are a small but important part of branding a website (you'll most often spot it next to the URL in the address bar). It used to be pretty easy to set one up. Just save a small photo, only

Three Shows You Need To Binge Watch this Weekend

This is going to sound totally lame, but sometimes the best part of my week is spent sitting in front of the television. Last night was the season finale of Empire and I was seriously looking forward to spending two

I Believe in Atlanta

Work Flow: Find Time That Works for You

I think it’s important, especially for someone in a creative field, to determine when your brain is best at tackling different tasks. Years of blogging have taught me that I’m best at getting words on screen in the morning. In college,

Hello welcome to my dining room that everyone thin Hello welcome to my dining room that everyone thinks is outside when they see pictures because it gets such good light. I do not take that for granted. Thank you, skylights. Not pictured: The zero closets (zero!!), two square feet of kitchen counter, and how you cant run away for alone time when you have a fight with your partner. This is loft life.

We’ll put it back together soon though. But in the meantime I’ve been getting dressed not based on how things look but how they feel. And that’s been strange but fun. I’m not sure I’ll keep it up when the stakes are higher than “someone I know might see me at the grocery store,” but it has felt spiritually good to not have a full length mirror for a while. ⁣

I don’t know what the lesson here is, except when you’re decorating don’t get stuck on the way things have always been or the rules about what needs to go where. Move things. Remove things. See how it changes not just the way your space looks but the way your spirit feels. ✌️
